The 2018 Toyota Camry uses a full synthetic oil. The 2.5l 4 -cylinder engine uses SAE 0w-20 and can hold 4.8 quarts. The 3.5l v6 engine requires SAE 0w-20 and has the capacity for 5.7 quarts. Synthetic oil keeps engines cleaner. When oil travels through the engine, it picks up debris and deposits from tiny fragments of dirt and tiny slivers of metal which damage engines. It is recommended to change Your oil every 7,500 miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. You can extend Your engine life, get better gas mileage, and have better performance if You change Your oil regularly. Routine oil and filter changes help remove particles and sludge from the engine. If the oil isn't changed, Your vehicle's engine will start to have a lot of problems.

A 2018 Toyota Camry uses a full synthetic oil. The 2.5L 4 -cylinder engine uses SAE 0W-16 and can hold 4.8 quarts. The 3.5L V6 engine requires SAE 0W-20 and has the capacity for 5.7 quarts.

Pat T is correct, Tina is not. 0w-20 can be used in the 2.5L 4 -cylinder engine only if 0w-16 is not available. The engine was designed for 0w-16 oil. Toyota even says that if you do an oil change with 0w-20 oil because 0w-16 is not available, the next oil change must be with 0w-16 weight oil. You cannot do 2 oil changes in a row with 0w-20 oil. Bottom line, if you want your 2.5L engine to last a very long time, stick with only 0w-16 weight oil.

The 2018 and newer Toyota Camrys with the 2.5L engine require 0W-16 oil, not 0W-20 as in 2017 and older.

I read that 0W16 is more critical in northern climates while the deep south vehicles tolerate 0W20 during to climate. Actually, toyota dealership in Atlanta did my last oil change & shop receipt showed 0W20 used -
