Toyota recommends getting Your 2018 Toyota Tundra oil & filter changed every 3,000-5,000 miles for conventional oil. If You use synthetic oil You can wait to change Your oil until 7,500 miles. Synthetic oil is by far better for performance. It protects the engine due to lower levels of friction. Switching between synthetic and conventional oils will not cause any damage to an engine. Synthetic blends are a mixture of synthetic and conventional oil. Synthetic oil keeps engines cleaner. When oil travels through the engine, it picks up debris and deposits from tiny fragments of dirt and tiny slivers of metal which can damage engines.

In a toyota tundra with synthetic oil, the oil should be changed every 10,000 miles, or at least once a year. In between oil changes, the oil level should be periodically checked and topped off when needed. In the event that conventional oil is used, oil should be changed every 3.000 Miles.
