Regularly servicing Your new vehicle is one of the most important preventative measures You can take to ensure the longevity of the parts that make it run. The task You can do to satIS Fy optimal performance is by doing lube jobs at manufacturer recommended intervals. This requires knowing what type of oil Your 2019 GMC Terrain takes, as well as the capacity the reservoir holds. Those two pieces of information are SAE 5W-30 and 6 quarts with filter. Only synthetic formulations should be used to lubricate Your GMC engine. While these types are a tad more expensive they will keep Your system free of harsh chemicals that can find their way in via petroleum byproducts found in conventional oils. If You decide against a DIY lube change, make sure the auto shop You choose uses only high quality products.

The 2019 GMC Terrain uses a full synthetic oil type. The SUV's 1.5L 4 -cylinder engine uses SAE 0W-20. The oil capacity for the AWD model is 5.3 quarts and 4.2 quarts for FWD model The 2.0L 4 -cylinder prefers 5W-30 and holds 5 quarts. The 1.6L 4 -cylinder diesel engine also uses 5W-30 but holds 5.3 quarts.
