The 2020 Toyota Corolla oil type and capacity is 0w-20 and 4.4 quarts. Having high quality oil is key for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into issues with the oil at some point. Knocking noise may show up from the engine. Bad oil can cause the engine to stop working. A common problem is an awful burning smell. This needs to be inspected as soon as possible or the car might explode. You could experience bad gas mileage. Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine.

Toyota suggestions are 0W16 for the 2020 Corolla, it is available in Mobil 1 full synthetic. I've been using the 0W 20 for about 5 years in my 2010 Tundra, I have had very good success. I've always felt the 0W20 wasn't a good enough viscosity. So I called Mobil 1 while reading the back of an oil container, the lubricating engineer assured me that the 0W20 has a better shear point than a 10W30 for the Tundra, I explained that I pull a trailer from time to time. His reply was if you pull every day, change the oil at a 3,000 mile intervals, if not every 5,000 miles was fine. Getting back to the shear point, this means when the oil is being pumped through the engine and it passes though the journals the 0W20 oil is not cut up as much as a 10W30 because it's thinner. Because it's thinner does not mean it doesn't have a good lubricating capability. The oil pressure comes up faster especially in cold weather. I have very good oil pressure hot and cold. These are the facts I've received from EXXON MOBIL. I am Living proof that Mobil 1 15W40 for the big rigs oil changes were 75,000 mile intervals! The filters were changed every 25,000 miles. This went on to 500,000 miles, then EXXON MOBIL came in my shop and disassembled the engines to see how well the oil performed. It passed with flying colors. After 500,000 miles all the rod and main bearings were reused! There was little to no wear on the bearings. The piston liners were replaced with new piston rings, but the pistons were reused. I was amazed to say the least. I worked on the big rigs for over 30 years. I hope I helped your questions and made a lot of folks feel better about the Mobil 1 motor oil.
