I'm showing no recalls, open or otherwise, on the 2016 Chevrolet Traverse purge valve, but there is a relevant technical service bulletin. While not quite the same, this is likely something you'll want to know about. TSBs don't indicate a critical level of failure as a recall does, but they do indicate a long standing issue with a certain component, and give guidance for how to fix. On 2016 and 2017 Traverse models (and a handful of other Buick, Chevy, and GMC vehicles), the evaporative emissions purge valve is susceptible to a condition that doesn't allow it to fully close. You'll typically be running a rough idle and perhaps you'll even stall. GM covers this issue for 10 years or 120,000 miles, so if you're facing the issue, see a dealership before you dump any money into DIY repairs.
