Many owners of the 2005 Ford Explorer have complained about warning lights with the advancetrac system. They are receiving warning lights when there is no reason for them to be going off. This can be fixed by replacing the sensors on the vehicle. The most common culprit is the wheel speed sensor on the ABS sensor. You're going to benefit greatly if You have access to a scanner tool as this will help You narrow down exactly which sensor is causing the issue. If You don't have access to a scanner You'll have more luck and less frustration if You take Your vehicle in to a shop instead of just guessing on which sensor could be failing.

Mine check advancetrac light just came on the other day after cleaning my battery posts and won't turnoff. Where is the wheel speed sensor?

2005 explorer drivers complain of persistent warning lights for their vehicle's advancetrac system; having the diagnostic codes scanned is one solution; others recommend checking if "wheel speed sensor" is activated.
