The 2005 GMC sierra does have a cabin air filter. The coolant needs to be changed every 60,000 miles or so. Your air filter needs to be changed every 15,000 to 30,000 miles or so. The spark plugs need to be replaced every 100,000 miles unless it's a copper one. A cooper spark plug needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles. You will come into many problems with an engine. A gasket may become loose and that needs to be tightened up. A spark plug may come off, causing engine issues. You can have oil leaks and those need to be repaired quickly. A serious problem is the engine overheating. This may lead to fires and the vehicle exploding. There could be excessive oil use, requiring the oil to be changed sooner than expected.

The cabin air filter for the 2005 GMC Sierra is located in the front passenger's foot well. Remove the panel under the glovebox and you'll see it as part of the vehicle's HVAC system.

There is a retrofit air filter kit that can be bought. Kinda stupid and cheap of GMC to not do this in the 1st place but show you we can cut that plastic ourselves. This wasn’t an afterthought 🤬
