The 2005 Toyota Corolla does not have an in-line fuel filter at all. The filter for this car is located in the gas tank and that has become very common over the years because an in-line filter usually is a weak spot where fuel leaks can develop over time. The fuel filter in Your car is there to help prevent debris from making it into Your lines and up to Your rail where it can cause clogs. If You notice that You have low fuel pressure then that could be a sign of a problem with the filter. When it becomes clogged up that means that clean fuel cannot make it through and into the system resulting in a loss of pressure.

The 2005 Toyota Corolla does not have an inline fuel filter. The fuel filter is located in the fuel tank along with the fuel pump. The reason for this is, the fuel filter and fuel pump are a single combined unit.
