The 2005 Toyota Prius does not come equipped with an Aux port because it is an older model and they did not incorporate it until the later model years. You can however purchase an after-market AUX plug and play kit and have it installed. You can essentially plug a cord into the 3.5mm jack and then plug the other end into the Auxiliary jack of the car and it will allow You to play whatever media sounds through Your car's speakers. One thing to remember is the jack does need to be secure or it will not allow You to switch over to the AUX media source. Sometimes the Aux jack will become loose from wear and tear when plugging and unplugging the cord so double check that it is plugged in tight to avoid any issues.

Toyota does not offer an AUX input port as an option in the 2005 Toyota Prius. There are aftermarket kits available for purchase and installation.
