The 2007 Ford Fusion does have anti-lock brakes. Brake equipment will become old and will need to be replaced at some point. The brake pads and shoes need replacing every 50,000 miles. The brake rotors need to be changed every 60,000 miles. The brake fluid needs to be changed every 20,000 to 45,000 miles. Your brakes need to be in the best condition. Having faulty brakes will lead into issues. Premature brake wear is an issues that needs to be addressed. Bad brake pads will result in problems with the vehicle coming to a halt. Screeching sounds can come about from low brake fluid. A loose bearing can make for terrible stops. The brakes can lock up, which will result in car crashes.

The 2007 Ford Fusion Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) controls the brakes so the wheels do not lock during hard braking or when braking on slippery surfaces. The system detects the rotation speed at each wheel and varies the brake fluid pressure to pre- vent each wheel from locking and sliding. By preventing each wheel from locking, the system helps the driver maintain steering control and helps to minimize swerving and spinning on slippery surfaces.
