The 2007 VW Jetta comes with a timing belt for the engine. This is a component that will need to be replaced every 60,000 to 100,000 miles. Usually the timing belt replacement is the most expensive piece of regular maintenance. It on average will cost $450 to $650 depending on the labor rates in Your area because it is difficult to get to. I recommend that You change the water pump at the same time because they are located next to each other so it can save You on labor in the future. Some vehicles come with a chain that can last over 300,000 miles if You are looking to get a car those will last longer.
