The 2008 Ford Escape have oil leak causes are degraded engine gaskets and oil pan holes. Your oil needs to be replaced eventually. Every 5,000 to 10,000 miles is a good rule of thumb. If You don't replace it, there will be issues with the engine. Having high quality oil is key for the engine to run smoothly. You will run into problems with the oil at some point. Bad oil can cause the engine to fail. A normal problem is a nasty burning smell. This needs to be looked into as soon as possible or the car might explode. You could experience terrible gas mileage. Knocking noise may come about from the engine.

If you are experiencing oil leaks in your 2008 ford escape it could be attributed to the oil separator which sits on top of the engine in a small box. Get a wrench and tighten it up yourself and see if that solves the problem.

Fluid leaks continue to move in the direction of downwards and backwards. Oil leakage underneath the engine's rear may therefore have occurred in the upper front engine region. One way a shop avoids misdiagnosing oil leaks is using oil detection dye which helps identify the exact source of the leak. Many devices are available which can leak oil. Each fluid appears to be a different color which can help identify the device that leaks. Engine oil is usually brown or black. If it's fresh it can be an amber color so search to see what color the oil is to pinpoint the location of the leak.

Yes. I have V6 and it has recurring motor oil leak problems. I am original owner. Got 240k miles and still going strong. I Use high mileage 10w30 oil. Oil pan and valve cover gaskets replaced twice.
