The 2008 Lexus RX400h has a timing chain, rather than a timing belt. This is good news for Your car and Your wallet, as replacing belts can get a little expensive. Timing chains tend to last the lifetime of Your car unless something significant happens. That said, even though chains are durable, there are things You can do to keep it in the beSTShape possible. One of the most important is changing Your oil at the recommended intervals. For You, thats every 10,000 miles or so. You should also be sure to check Your oil levels to make sure theyre falling within the top and bottom lines on Your dipstick, and drain or top off as You need to.
