Depending on Your chosen trim level and configuration of the 2009 AudiA4, You may or may not have an equipped navigation system. This is a part of the available infotainment upgrade package, so it may come on any trim level. However, the original owner of the vehicle would have had to opt for the upgrade; if this wasn't You, it can be unfortunate that Your specific model comes without. However, the good news is that aftermarket solutions do exist. Several major manufacturers, including Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer, manufacture aftermarket head units that come fully equipped with GPS technology (including navigation). While they can get pricey, their full integration make it much safer and more seamless than using Your phone or an external GPS unit.
