The 2009 Chevy Impala is not the subject of an actuator recall, but many owner complaints have been registered, detailing faulty blend door actuators that fail and require replacement over time. The Impala is equipped with dual climate control and up to three actuators. When they malfunction, drivers witness loud "clacking" or "clicking" noises from under the dash. Failure often occurs at early mileage levels and owners often report replacing the part up to 4 times, while retaining its noisy operation. The Impala has been recalled for its front lower control arms in the Police Interceptor edition that can crack and cause a loss of suspension. Cost of replacing the Impala's actuators averages $290-$340 in parts and labor.

There are only two (2) recalls on the 2009 Chevrolet Impala. The first has to do with the Police edition Impalas: the front lower control arms may fracture. The second has to with the civilian Impalas: the front passenger seat frames can rub and damage the passenger presence sensor wires causing the airbag system a false reading for deployment purposes. There are no issues pertaining to actuators.
I have personally put myfemale hands down in there to replace both going on 3 times. The second time I bought the NAPA warranted. My sisters paid big money on the same car for the same my little female hand could do. Their hands are thicker than mine. The part doesn’t last long before needing another
