Reliable family car that I love to drive

Why I love my Chevy Impala.

I would not say it has problems to speak of. I wish it had a lighted vanity mirror and/or a light on the rearview mirror so I can check my makeup when it's dark out (not while driving of course).

Theproblems I've had with this car start from the motor mounts transmission mount the clicking in the dash traction control light the door locks don't work half the time when they do work they lock and unlock by themselves. The worst thing on the interstate doing 65 and all of a sudden the lights come on in the car drops to 10 miles an hour almost immediately nothing good to say about this car at all

When driving my car you cannot remove the key unless you hit it pacific button.
I had to buy this vehicle because I need a car asap it has a lot of issues with this the motor mount is bent and he's brakes rotors pads something to do with tie rod I need some work but overall it still runs really well and I still take care of it.

I inherited it from my mom who didn't drive, so it only has 50,000 miles.
It is very comfortable and has been very reliable. It does pretty good on gas. I have a problem with a thumping noise in the dash, I think it is called an actuator. I wish it had a back wipers. I also would like more compartments and cubbies for sunglasses, CDs, and drinks.

Chevy Impala rocks! Great car, by a great company
This has been the best car that I have ever owned. The maintenance is very easy up keep and there have not been any major problems. After 10 years the ac still runs ice cold, and all major electronics work well. The interior is easy to clean, and maintain. This car is great on gas and I love that I can also use the flex fuel option and use e85 if I want. This is a very sturdy and well made car. When it's time to replace it, I def intend on going with another impala.

Used 09 Impala, wonderful after 200, 000 miles.
I love my car. It was bought used within the last 90 days and has well over 200, 000 miles on it. The car is still in awesome shape, it runs like a champ! Everything works on it with the exception of the drivers side seat, its stuck, but that's a small thing. I will definitely stick with Chevrolet when I decide to upgrade.

Pros and cons of a Chevy Impala lt
My car is super reliable and dependable. It's fast and I've had nothing ever go wrong with it. It's good on gas and very comfortable inside. It's a nice sedan for a family and a huge trunk. I wish I had a sunroof but it's still nice. It hAs a spoiler so it kind of makes it look a little sporty.

My car has great performance. It's very reliable in getting me to a from where I need to get to. It came with nice interior and very comfortable seats. Came with a nice stereo system and also a AUX port for music. Most the problems I have had have been just normal wear and tear.

I like the look of the car and the power, but I'm over 6 feet tall and my knee is about an inch from the dashboard even with my seat all the way back. I'd like a little more room. Also every time I get a Chevrolet something breaks during the first 2 years. Yes, it is under warranty, but couldn't you put decent parts in from the start so it doesn't inconvenience your customer?

Affordable and easy to repair.
Seems good. Easy to get part for and everybody works on them. They are everywhere. Every part store always have the parts in stock. It was Affordable. We bought it with less than book value and had less than $80,000 We have had very few problems even tho the car has a salvage title. It does not have all the luxury as some cars. It has cloth set and no heated seats. Which don't really matter to me. Wish it had a fold down back seat.

2009 Chevrolet Impala review
Good gas mileage for a daily driver. Has a large trunk for storage room. Can easily fit my pets and a car seat in the back seat with room for us all. Have had very few issues with the vehicle performance and mechanical wise, any issues that came up were easy fixes.

I like that the vehicle is roomy and drives/rides well. I love that it gives me updates about my tire pressure and when the oil needs changed. The biggest issue i have had with the car is that the wires under the gear shifter break due to wear and tear. It was not designed very well.

I love the interior of my car! The leather is a wonderful addition!
There is a clicking sound in the ac unit. I believe it is a smoothed down clear gear the clicking stops when the air is on for about a minute. Other than that the vehicle is extremely reliable and I take many road trips in my vehicle. In addition the fuel range feature is really nice I rely heavily on it also well as the cruise control.

Smooth ride, powerful engine.
Love how smooth my car rides and decent on gas considering the larger sized engine. Car does seem to burn through oil more than other cars I have owned but overall this car has been very good to me. Easy to fix smaller issues myself and parts are reasonably priced. Tires for this model are pretty expensive and the evap canister seems to go bad kind of quick but luckily it is an easy fix. Car gets about 25 mpg on highway and a little less when driving in town. I would highly recommend this make and model car, just be aware that certain aspects of maintaining vehicle can be pretty pricey.

Overview of Chevy Impala's dependability.
My 09 Impala rides smoothly and has not had a lot of major issues. The headlights have been replaced a few times in the past 3 years. The vehicle has decent gas mileage to get me to point A to point B. The seats could be more comfortable and if you have kids do not buy the car with light creme seats like I did. Overall the Impala is a dependable vehicle and I do not regret buying one.

09 Chevy Impala, makes me love Chevrolets even more!

Ignition recall, easy to fix
I have had issues with the ignition, but there is a recall on it, so I just have to go to a local dealership and get it replaced. Other than that I love my car and have had it since it was brand new. I have also been in a wreck with this car and the parts are reasonably priced to replace. Also, It has heated seats and a sunroof which is my favorite.

This car is horrible. I have been extremely disappointed with it.
This car has been full of issues. The air conditioning regulator has gone out twice. The doors in the back won't unlock. The check engine light is always on. We have had to take it to the shop constantly for various reasons. The rear defrost has never worked. It is the most unreliable car I have ever owned. I would not suggest that anyone buy this car ever.

Funky fuel sensor in my Impala.
The gravel dust clogs up the fuel sensor which makes it really hard for me to pump gas into the car. The sensor clicks off the gas pump unless I pump it really slow. In cold weather, this is a pain. The car itself is reliable and comfortable for the entire family. The moonroof is a nice feature. The trunk is spacious. It handles well in all weather.

Chevrolet Impala is a great car
My Impala is super great! It's been a reliable vehicle and even though it's an older car it's very comfortable! The features include power seats, traction control, ABS brakes, a great stereo. The one feature I don't like in the car is the traction control. The traction control turns on randomly when my tires don't slip and the only way to turn it off is to completely turn off your car and wait for the engine cycle to reset. This is usually just inconvenient but has proven a few times to be dangerous when I'm on the highway. If you're traveling too fast for too long while your traction control is engaged it will automatically reduce your throttle. I've looked into this problem and it's a common problem that appears to have no consistent fix if a fix at all.

The chain reaction on my car.
Well I do like the way it handles the curves. Since it just required a major overhaul on the breaks. So, as I was driving up my street, I was suddenly in distress, my car was grinding up the hill so I turned it around to come home and black smoke came up. So what happened? The parking brake locked up and broke apart, the back brake shoes lost traction, the it burned off on one tire. I ruined the tire, the parking break and the break shoes in a chain reaction like a week ago.

Buyer beware when purchasing a Chevy impala. Constant expensive repairs.
The car has constant expenses. Sensors go out all the time and are $250+ each fix. It does drive well in snowy conditions. In the last 4 years I've had over $3500 in repairs and the car is under 100k miles. Actuators go out at least once a year and if you don't fix, the ticking will drive you nuts.

Good car, blower actuators go bad one at a time which is noisy. Rides pretty nice, roomy interior and trunk. Easy to use stereo system. Have taken on long trips, once overheated and had to replace a part, but drive a lot and usually does well. Have put very many miles on with ease. Newer models are not as comfortable and ergonomic unfortunately. Would like newer models to be similar and they are nothing alike.

Impalas: Tough and reliable.
My 2009 Chevy impala is a good, reliable car. Although it did lose its plastic grill after hitting a raccoon, it is still a beefy car that can take a bit of tough love. I've had my car for 5 years now and it still runs great! And I bought it used. Impalas are one of the best cars to own.

Chevrolet Impala, in my opinion seems to be a reliable car for a daily driver.
For my first car I wanted something economic with either 4 or 6 cylinder engine. After a few months of researching between a Malibu or Impala I found out that both cars were actually pretty good for the budget. After all I ended up purchasing a 2009 Chevy Impala lt trim grey exterior color with black leather seats, powerful pushrod variable valve timing v6 with a 4 speed trany. This particular full-size sedan gets a average fuel economy of 19 mpg. Safest car on the highway in my opinion with all four ABS brakes functioning in conjunction with the traction control system. What more can I ask for I think I made a wise decision about this car couldn't be more happy with it.

The car is plane in most ways but it does have both a sunroof and a moonroof.
There are no real problems with this car we keep it up pretty we because it is the only one in the household. The only things I can think of that might be a problem for some people is how many miles are on it because of how many cross country trips we have taken in it. The fact that the a/c tends to make a clicking noise when it is turned on but neither of those facts seems to effect it is driving or mpg at all.

It drives extremely smooth. Impalas have always been reliable vehicles whether driving into town or taking a long trip. However, there is a really annoying sound that my air conditioner makes when it is NOT on. It sounds like something is knocking in my glove box. A friend of mine (who has one as well) actually has that problem too. I wonder if it's the model itself not just our cars that tend to have this problem. The seats are very comfortable, not too soft and not too hard. The audio portion is very easy to use and navigate as well. There is also bass-boost automatic feature, so I don't have to buy speakers for extra bass. All around, I'm fairly content with the components of my vehicle. I am glad that I made this purchase.

Good but a pain could be better.
To may issues with recall problems, recall on airbag for passengers side that also goes to driver side and will not fix. Window switches that break, shifter problems, fuel mileage from summer to winter is huge difference. Just some minor but expensive fixes.

Review of 2009 Chevrolet Impala, A smooth joyful ride with a few small issues.
I had purchased the car used in 2015. The car is very comfortable to drive and offers a very smooth driving experience but has a couple of issues. The car itself has 2 main problems: issue with the power windows and air conditioning. The power windows motor had been choked up and needs replacements. The air conditioner is currently only blowing hot air which is a pain during the summer when the heat gets up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Other than those problems the car has never stalled and doing some small maintenance work is a breeze. I enjoy the car over all for the price and affordability.

My Chevy impala is one of the most reliable vehicles I have ever owned. It was previously owned by a police officer and they took really great care of it. One of the highlights of the Chevy impala is how smooth it is to ride. The backseats are big and it is easy to maintain. There are a couple of things about it that need a little attention. One thing that always bothers me about it is that the steering wheel fluid needs to be changed a lot more often than any other car that I have come in contact with. It is quite annoying and no one can tell me what the issue is, both professionally and just family members.

Air conditioning has gone out more than I can count and the engine has needed constant maintenance since 50k miles. It's been a money pit from day 1 and I would not recommend any Chevy sedan to anyone looking for a midsize car unless you enjoy paying for maintenance and expensive repairs often

Enjoyable life of a Chevrolet impala.
I have a 2009 chevrolet impala. My impala is very dependable! Very spacious and smooth driving. There are no problems with my vehicle and such a joy to drive! The comfort of the car is comfortable and its features are enjoyable. I definitely recommend the chevrolet impala to anyone!
