The 2009 Nissan Rogue does have a fuel filter. Vehicle parts will eventually become ineffective. The fuel filter needs to be replaced every 30,000 miles or so. If it doesn't get changed, You will come across issues with the performance Having the fuel burn greatly is the key to maximizing Your miles per gallon. Your gas tank needs to be in top shape. You will come into issues at some point. There might be gas leaks, which need to be looked into pronto. The gas tank might become loose. A bad control valve may arise. The gas cap could become stuck and will be quite an ordeal to deal with.
There is no filter on 09 Rogue. Only a fuel pump screen inside the tank . And it is no where near as effective as a filter. That's why Nissan doesn't recommend the use of fuel line cleaners as, these chemicals can damage the costing inside the fuel tank and destroy your fuel pump. . That's why they have a connection on the fuel rail to clean the injectors. You remove the fuse for the pump and connect a special can of concentrated cleaner.
