The 2010 Chevy Malibu does not have an exhaust gas recirculation valve. This system was used on older models of the vehicle, but going forward the newer models use variable valve timing systems. This system has made the egr obsolete, and it has not been used since the 2007 models.

The 2010 Chevy Malibu does not use an Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve. This system has been scrapped from newer model Chevrolet vehicles. Chevrolet uses Variable Valve Timing systems in the modern age (in both the 2.4L and 3.6L engines of the 2010 Malibu) and this has reduced the need for EGR valves, as the VVT systems can handle the production of nitrous oxide better.

2009 Malibu has egr, just depends on the emission package for the vehicle. It is possible for the 10 to have egr. 2008-2012 Malibu's were the same basicly
