The 2010 Chevy Silverado doesn't have a cabin air filter. You will come across some annoying noises from the air conditioner. Loose mounting bolts will become irritating. A faulty compressor will get noisy. Too much Freon will do this. These sounds need to be addressed quickly or You will lose Your mind. Being a sweaty mess is never a great time. That's why the air conditioner needs to be in top shape. You will face issues with this part at some time. The motor may become faulty. An inaccurate thermostat could come up. A nasty odor from the vents will cause problems with Your comfort. A fan might become loose. A Freon leak will make You sweat.
I confirm the above answer. I have taken the glove box out and the duct cover off and there is no cabin air filter to be found. Odd, all the parts houses are anxious to sell you a filter that doesn't exist for it.

The 2010 Chevrolet Silverado does not have a cabin air filter. This option was not available for Silverado trucks starting in 2003.

A really ugly job but you can do a retrofit to install a filter available from Napa, just make sure your kit has the new cover plate. Not a better idea Chevy!

2010 Silverado does have a cabin filter inside directly under the middle of thedash below the the stereo take thatplastic cover off and boom there it is

2010 Silverado doesn't have a cabin filter.You can buy a retrofit cabin filter from napa if you want to install 1. It has all the parts you need to install it. Make sure it comes with instructions & the bottom piece you need to install after cutting the heater box.

Chevrolet Silverados built between 1999 and 2002 have cabin air filters, but Silverados manufactured from 2003 to 2010 do not. The Silverado shares major components, including the air filter, with other GM trucks and SUVs, including the Sierra, the Tahoe, and the Suburban.

Eric s is correct there is not a cabin air filter compartment on this truck !
