The 2010 Ford Focus comes with optional bluetooth based on the trim that You have. It was an option that was tied into the sync system that is in the dash. Bluetooth has become more common over the years as different states have enacted laws that prevent drivers from using a phone wall driving. This has led to bluetooth being the standard for hands free calling. Bluetooth also has the added benefit of being able to be used to play music in Your car. As more people have moved to streaming music on smartphones, bluetooth has become normal for listening to music wirelessly. If Your Focus did not come with bluetooth there are third party adapters on the market that can add it to a vehicle without sync.
