The 2011 Acura RDX with a 2.3 L 4Cylinder turbo engine comes with a timing chain rather than a timing belt. Premium brands of vehicles are more likely to use a timing chain because it's an expensive part that is going to lead to an increase in upfront cost. The benefit of it however is that its is made to last much longer than belts typically do.The chain doesn't need any kind of special maintenance for it to function properly but it does need to stay properly lubricated by Your engine oil. That's not much of an inconvenience though because You should be staying on top of Your regular oil changes anyway for overall engine health. -
