Re; the comment 'never listen to a woman' - I am a married man and I have a quick story - many years ago before internet youtubevideos, my wife and i were on a tight budget and our minivan sprung a leak in the radiator. I am very mechanically experienced, but was extremely busy on the job and could not afford the $1000 it was going to take to pay someone to fix it. On this van, you basically had to remove everything in the front. I was on a 4 day trip and was dreading doing it when I got back, ruining yet another weekend. When I returned, to my shock, my wife-with no mechanical experince whatsoever, had changed out the radiator herself for $150, purchased from Autozone. I did not believe her at first, because that is a very involved and messy repair, with transmission cooling lines involved, etc. However, she explained to me what she did (admittedly using the word 'thingy' to describe most of the components, but that's ok by me!), pointing out every step of the repair and I was dumbfounded. She did it because she knew I was exhausted and wanted me to have a weekend where I was not under the hood of a car or with my head inside of a broken appliance. I had tears in my eyes when I realized she had actually done this! I thanked her profusely, took her to a really nice dinner and told her it was the 'sexiest thing' she had every done for me. Sooooo-men, don't ever underestimate the amazing tenacity of the woman in your life! Women are truly to be treasured.

Recommend using the Aisin tkh-002 timing belt kit. This includes the idler pulley, water pump, and hydraulic tensioner, and tensioner pulley in addition to the belt.

Im an experienced mechanic of 12+ years. The answer below me is incorrect, every Honda Odyssey ever manufactured has had a timing belt, that needs to be replaced periodically, according to the manufacturer’s recomendation, if it breaks you will be replacing the engine, as they are all interference engines. Theyve been putting basically the same engine in these things for the last 25, years, although they’ve been changed a little over the years, tbey are still the same basic design. Which is very reliable, tried, and true. Great cars. My mother had an 05 for 15 years and it had over 250k miles on it when she finally got rid of it.

Ok so if women are so untrustworthy to you men then why can me and my mother help my grandfather and my father with something that they overlooked and have gotten it right
