If You own a 2013 Chevy Malibu, You will soon find that You have a backup camera installed in Your vehicle. Most often found in the rear window area, the camera is triggered when the car shift is moved into reverse. The camera will need stay active as long as You are moving in reverse, stopping only when You shift gears and begin to move forward. The benefit of this camera is to expose the full blind spot area behind Your vehicle. This prevents You from accidentally backing into another vehicle, which may be entering through that blind spot. It also ensures that any people, particularly children, animals, or inanimate objects are not obstructing the range of backup, and do not risk getting run over.

It just depends on your car. The trim doesn't matter some LS models have it and some don't same with the LT and LTZ models
