Yes, the 2014 Ford Taurus does, in fact, have a fuel pump control module recall; this issue could lead to the Taurus prematurely stalling while driving, without any warning at all, and then not restart. At least 91,000 vehicles are suspected to be affected worldwide. The recall number is 16V621000 and the recall date was August 25, 2016. You should bring Your vehicle to the dealer if You have this year model, where they will inspect the fuel pump part number and replace it, free of charge, if it's necessary to have it done. As this is a safety issue, You shouldn't disregard this particular recall.

Ford is recalling several 2013-2015 model year ford taurus vehicles fitted with 3.5L gtdi ecoboost engines. A component inside the electric fuel pump module (pem) may overheat causing the fuel pump to lose electric power. A power loss to the fuel pump will cause the engine to stall or prevent the vehicle from starting, which will increase the risk of a crash.
