The 2014 VW Passat does have a brake pad sensor. Your brakes need to be in the best condition. Having faulty brakes will lead into issues. A loose bearing can make for bad stops. The brakes can lock up, which will result in wrecks. Screeching sounds can arise from low brake fluid. Bad brake pads will result in problems with the vehicle coming to a halt. Premature brake wear is an issues that needs to be addressed. Brake equipment will become old and will need to be replaced at some point. The brake pads and shoes need replacing every 50,000 miles. The brake rotors need to be changed every 60,000 miles. The brake fluid needs to be changed every 20,000 to 45,000 miles.

The 2014 Volkswagen Passat comes with brake pad sensors on the front brake pads. When the warning indicator comes on, the brake pads are wearing down and should be checked and changed by a Volkswagen dealer. The sensors are also only on one side of the brake pads, and although they should generally show the same wear, it's better to check both sides and also check the rear pads after the light comes on.
