The 2017 Chevy Tahoe has Apple CarPlay support as a standard feature as part of the infotainment system. When You plug Your iPhone in via USB, You get what looks like an enlarged iPhone screen on Your dash. You will have access to a variety of options on the screen and apps that You can use. You can send and receive iMessages and You'll be able to reply to them right on the screen. You can choose to listen to an Audio book through the Audible app or music via Spotify. You will have access to Your library, different radio stations that You've created or recently played. You can use Siri just as You would on Your phone, making handsfree use possible.

The Tahoe does have Apple CarPlay standard across all trim levels. This connectivity option only works for certain iPhones and users should make sure that their software meets the requirements before attempting to connect. Apple CarPlay is integrated into the entertainment system and set up may only be accessed while the vehicle is in park. This prevents accidents caused by distracted drivers trying to connect phones instead of paying attention to the road.
