All 2017 Ford Escape trims come standard with daytime running lights. This feature increases the visibility of the vehicle from the front. All safety features, including daytime running lights, work together to improve vehicle safety across the board. The headlight control knob can be twisted to "drl off" to turn them off. To turn off running lights use the buttons on the left side of Your steering wheel. Scroll through settings and select vehicle lighting. Then select the daytime running lights auto option. This will make sure that Your light comes on automatically without having to manually turn them on.

The reason behind this is that many insurance companies give you a discount for having them. That's more important than worrying about how you look at the movies

I have yet to figure it out. The guy at Ford says the model i have probablydoesn't allow them to be turned off. So, I get to be that a*****e at the drive-ins or the campsite that blinds everyone. Thanks Ford.

My 2017 escape se will not allow me to turn off the headlights no matter how the knob is turned. All the way left according to the manual should do it ,but no happen. Also the green marker lamp is always on on the dash panel display. Do I have faults in the wires?
