The 2017 GMC Acadia does come with a spare tire that can be found underneath the rear bumper of the vehicle. It is a space saver spare tire so it is not the same as a full size, but it should be able to get You to a tire shop to have Your failed tire repaired or replaced. Many brands have moved away from using a full size spare due to cost and space restrictions. In general owners prefer to have more cargo room than a full size spare tire so most have moved away from adding one. Always keep an eye on Your tires to make sure they are in good condition and that can limit Your need for the spare.

Every manufacturer chooses whether or not to include a spare tire as well as which kind of spare to use. This is decided upon using a variety of criteria including: how much each choice weighs, and how much space it takes. The Acadia manufacturer chose to mount the compact spare tire under the vehicle in front of the rear bumper. This provides easy access as there are no floor panels to lift up.
