The 2017 GMC Terrain doesn't have Apple CarPlay. You will come into issues with the sound. The source could be from the stereo's speakers or a phone that is connected to the vehicle. Whatever the source, You will have to have these issues solved pronto. If the problems are from the stereo's speakers, it could be static sounds, randomly turns off, a loose wire, or a blown fuse. If the problems are coming from the phone, it could be that the software won't update, the device will not sync with the vehicle, the phone's battery is almost dead, or an object is blocking the signal.

Many GMC vehicles come standard with Apple CarPlay. This feature is becoming increasingly popular as streaming music on smartphones is becoming more common. Unfortunately, owners of the Terrain do not have access to that technology as Apple CarPlay is not included.

Although apple carplay is standard on some 2017 GMC vehicles, it is not available on the Terrain for that model year.
