The BMW X5 does not come standard equipped with a spare tire. Instead, it comes with run flat tires. These tires are designed to not loose air quickly if they are punctured. This enables them to empty slowly, over an extended period. Because of this, You as the driver are able to continue operating Your vehicle at a reduced speed, usually around 55 miles per hour or slower, until You can safely reach Your destination. These tires can handle driving at these lower speeds for up to 100 miles, at which point You may begin to experience damage and wear and tear to the rims of the wheels.

No, the BMW X5 does not have a spare tire because flat run tires are standard on most every BMW vehicle. Flat run tires mean no BMW customer needs to attempt to change their tire or sit on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. You can drive on flat run cars for up to 100 miles with damage to the rims or wheels.

And you drive a Beemer, so you'll never know it's flat unless there's a $100 light on the dash.
