Unfortunately, the base trim level (S) of the 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan does not come with remote start technology, nor does the next-tier SE. However, it is available in the upgraded SEL and top level SEL Premium. Some users report that their dealerships offered remote start functionality on lower trim level Tiguan models as part of a $150 upgrade kit, but I can find no official documentation from Volkswagen showing that as an approved option. If You've got an upper trim level and therefore are remote start capable, You can easily use it from Your key fob. First, ensure all doors are locked (perhaps by pressing the "lock" button twice), and then press the circular remote start button twice, holding it on the second press. Your Tiguan, if so equipped, should fire right up.
The 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan does not come standard with remote start.
