The 2019 Toyota Avalon has standard rain-sensing wipers in the Limited trim level, but does not include it even as an optional feature on lower trims. While they've gotten a fair amount of good reviews from automotive critics, drivers seem to find that an additional vector for failure hasn't served them well, as there are already a number of complaints about failure just two model years later. Luckily, the Limited still offers the fallback of traditional wipers, as the system can be disengaged. One of the most common complaints is that it doesn't always sense a fine mist or light drizzle, which might necessitate wiper usage but won't engage Your system. Therefore, while it's a nice feature to have, it shouldn't make or break Your Avalon purchase.

Though the technology is widely available in 2019, Toyota still doesn't feel it needs to add rain sensing wipers to its vehicles, and this includes the 2019 Toyota Avalon.
