The 2019 Toyota Corolla comes with blind spot monitoring as an optional add-on with the SE trim. However, the XSE trim offers it as a standard feature. This is an important safety feature, as a lot of lane change auto crashes result from vehicles being in the blind spot of another car. With the blind spot monitoring, it provides sensors on the side mirrors and rear areas like the bumper. These special sensors will alert the driver whenever there is another car present in their blind spot. Your blind spot is approximately when a car in the next lane has its front bumper at about the same line as Your back bumper. This makes it hard for Your peripheral vision to capture and register that vehicle. Leading to potentially dangerous lane changing errors.
