The Ford 500 has an average amount of complaints regarding the electrical system but nothing that really stands out as being a well known common fault. The most common complaints are the ones that focus on battery issues, like failure to start and dim or non functioning lights. These issues can easily be avoided by replacing your battery once it reaches a certain age or mileage. Another complaint Ive seen is the instrument cluster going dead. This is usually a wiring issue where the harness in the rear of the cluster has worked itself loose or one of the wires gets damaged and no longer Makes contact. These are problems you will need to have the dealer look at since the systems involved are very complicated and easy to damage.

Ford 500 has a very common electrical issue with the dashboard lights and gauges. Gauges will drop to zero randomly and service lights blink off and on for no reason.
