A moonroof wouldn't be much of a moonroof if it didn't open; yes, the INFINITI QX30's panoRamic moonroof opens, but perhaps not as much as You'd like. The power panoRamic feature allows it to open with the touch of a button, but only halfway; the primary selling point is additional light in the cabin, and perhaps a little bit of ventilation. You won't be able to joyride down I-95 with Your head in the clouds. Not that You should stick Your head out of a moonroof anyway, even if its capable of opening the whole way. But regardless -- yes, You'll be able to open the QX30's moonroof, if it's in good working order. Simply hold the button, and it will open to its maximum.

The QX30's "moon roof" is for all intents and purposes a glass roof. It goes not open. Only the shade opens and closes. Beware, leaving the shade open on a hot, sunny day will turn your vehicle into a greenhouse.
