Changing the fuel filter in the Ford C-Max with the 2.0L TDCI is going to be a bit of an operation, so remember, there's no shame in takeng Your car to the pros. OK, let's go at this. First, You should have a fluid extractor on hand. Remove the unions, each in turn, and then use the blanking plugs that came with the filter. Unscrew the housing top bleed screws a few turns, and then connect the fluid extractor pipe to it and s**k a bit of the diesel out of the filter housing (thus avoiding it spilling out when the lid is fully unscrewed). Finish unscrewing the filter lid and remove the old filter; s**k out any remaining fuel that's left in the bowl. Now, replace the O-ring and place the new filter into the lid, and screw that back on. If possible, You'll want to refill the housing using a large syringe or equivalent, using the top bleed screw hole. You may want to also use the fluid extractor, connecting it to the filter outlet, to s**k diesel through the new filter to prime it, but this isn't technically necessary. Go ahead and start up Your engine and enjoy Your spiffy new filter!

There is a fuel filter located near the engine. Just find that and unscrew it to replace the filter.
