To check the transmission fluid level in a 2010 Chevy Malibu You will need to jack the car up and it must be level. You will need a 11-millimeter socket and a rachet and extension and the transmission fluid has to be at operating temperature. Crawl under the car from the front, at the back of the engine, on the transmission You will find the plug. It is near the A-arm going to the drivers side wheel. The fluid should be flush to the bottom of the fill hole. According to Chevrolet, it is not necessary to check the transmission fluid level unless the vehicle has a transmission fluid leak, or the transmission isnt performing correctly.
