As the owner or driver of a Ford Edge, You might find Yourself in a situation where You need to disable the start stop for Your vehicle. This is fairly easy to do, and it will only take around 3 to 6 minutes of Your time. The first thing You will need to do is open the driver's side door, and get inside. Next, make sure the engine is off. Look in the area underneath the steering wheel. In the upper left portion, closer to the door, You will find a small white box with three connectors. Pull the lowest connector out. This will throw the vehicle into bypass mode, effectively shutting off the start/stop.

4dtech.com has a device to do this. I do not have relationship with them.
The ford edge auto start stop can only be disabled by manually pressing the auto-start stop button at the beginning (or during) your current trip.
