To reset the radio in Your 2011 Dodge Ram 1500, locate the up and down temperature controls and depress them both at the same time until a reset is initiated. Alternatively, try the tune and power knobs, depressing and holding them down for 5 seconds in the same way. Some owners opt to disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 30 minutes before re-connecting. After a power loss the Ram should reboot to factory settings. Unfortunately, due to the complex technology and software of Dodge's UConnect system, sometimes the only way to solve a radio malfunction is through a software update at the dealership. This can be costly. If an update fails to solve the problem, as a last resort, the head unit may need replacing.

You will need to unlock the radio using a 14 digit code. This will be printed on the side of the radio and it will also show on the screen between 9 and 11 am every day.
