Resetting the gas cap light on a 2015 Dodge Ram 1500 is very easy and won't take much time at all. First You want to turn off the engine, if it is on, and pop open the gas cap door. You then take the gas cap off by unscrewing it off. You then want to replace the gas cap which will ensure that the threading will seal properly. After that, close the gas cap door and go back inside the car. Start the engine and drive around for a little bit. This should reset the light and turn it off. If this does not work, You may have worst issues and should bring it to the dealership or a mechanic to look at it.

Wipe off the seal of the cap and the lip and mouth of the tank. Spit on the finger and smear around the cleaned seal and lip edge of tank. Replave cap. Turn on ignition as Eddie stated and depress gas pedal quickly 3x. Cleared cap annunciator and email msg icon too. Thx

Check for rotten, cracked, loose or disconnected hoses in the entire EVAP system, including vent and hoses on top of fuel tank. Check EVAP purge solenoid under hood near right front of engine.
