It's really quite simple to open the hood on Your 2000 Chevrolet Blazer. In order to do so, You'll first have to locate the hood release lever, which is near the left side wall of the driver's side foot well. It's about where Your left shin sits if You're driving the vehicle. You'll need to pull this lever towards You, pivoting it up from the bottom. This will release the hood. To complete the opening procedure, You'll now go to the exterior of the vehicle. In the small gap revealed by the interior lever pop, stick Your hand and fish around a bit until You feel another release lever. Once located immediately to the right of the emblem, pull up and the hood will release open.

To open your hood on your blazer you need to release the hood latch inside your blazer which is on the driver side left, and then you need to release the safety latch under your hood in the front of your blazer.
