Depending on the model year and configuration of Your Honda CR-V, the interior tailgate / trunk release will be located in one of a few different places -- or nowhere at all. I should quality and say that You can always open the trunk from the trunk itself, as there's a required safety feature that necessitates a release lever. But the in-dash component is a bit more complex. Your model year and trim may or may not be equipped with in-cabin control; You'll want to check out Your owner's manual to know for sure. Many trims have an electric release button on the small button panel on the lower left driver's side dash, often found next to the traction control button. Wherever it may be, You'll see a small icon that looks like Your CR-V with a raised liftgate.

There is a release lever on the right corner in the trunk so the trunk can be opened from the inside in case of emergency.
