How do I open the hood on a 2017 chevy traverse?

To open the hood on a 2017 Chevy Traverse open the drivers door and look directly above the parking brake pedal, here You will see the hood release lever. Place Your fingers underneath the bottom edge of the lever and pull towards You, until You hear the hood being unlatched. Now go to the front of the vehicle to release the secondary latch. Insert Your fingers, with the palm facing the ground, between the grill and hood, slightly to the left of center. Put Your fingers in about an inch and a half, You will feel the lever, slide it to the right. Lift the hood up, the hydraulic shocks will hold it up once it is lifted high enough.
