The 2012 Chevy Cruze has a trunk release button located on the key fob. With the vehicle off and in park, be sure that all of the doors are closed. The parking brake will need to be applied if Your model has the 6-speed manual transmission. Press and hold the trunk release button on Your fob. Alternatively You can also use the button located to the left of the radio. The total cargo volume is 15.4Cubic feet for all trim levels.

The 2012 models don’t even have a trunk release button inside the car it’s actually on the outside of the car but it ain’t to bad lol but the trunk button is underneath the middle of the trunk lid right above the license plate you can’t actually see it but just feel for it right there and it will only open when your key fob is either in the car or in your pocket I guess it’s some kind of theft control so just anybody but you can open it
