A Master Reset on a 2013 Ford Focus completely erases all information stored on Your SYNC System, but NEVER, NEVER, NEVER from Your paired phone. A Master Reset will remove phone book info, call history, text messages, paired devices, saved addresses, and navigation history on Your SYNC System ONLY. Once You "re-pair" Your phone back to the system, almost all information is restored excluding previously navigated or stored destinations. Remove the navigation chip or SD card. A master reset will erase all settings on Your SYNC System such as navigated routes and the phone book for the sync system. By removing the nav chip or SD card, Youre able to save this valuable information. Touch the GEARS found on the lower right center of the home screen. Touch the SETTINGS button of the menu. Touch SYSTEM to access menu choices. Scroll down to page 2 to locate MASTER RESET. Tap YES and SYNC will begin reset.
