Resetting the 2001 Ford Explorer anti-theft system is easy to do. It will only take around 5 to 9 minutes of Your time. The first thing You will need to do is make sure all of the doors on Your sports utility vehicle are fully locked and closed. Next, stand around 4 to 7 feet away from the vehicle with Your key fob in Your hand. Press the panic button one time. Now, go to the driver's side of Your car, and get inside. Place Your physical key into the ignition key hole, and turn it to the on position three times in a 10 second period. Now, start the engine, and the anti-theft system should be reset.
