Resetting the radio in a 2001 Lexus LS430 is a very simple process. The first method You can try is pressing and holding the volume button until the radio reboots itself. This is the preferred method since it doesnt trip the anti theft feature built into the radio. The second method is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. This will reset all the electronics in the vehicle, but will trip the mentioned anti-theft system. When this happens the radio will not function unless a security code is entered. This code is usually located in the owner's manual or on a sticker somewhere in the glovebox. If You can't find the code, You can call the dealership and give them Your details plus the VIN number and they can look it up for You.
