To reset the security system in Your 2002 Chevy TrailBlazer You will first need to use the key to try and start the engine. The security system will not allow the engine to crank but that is not a problem for this procedure. After You turn the key to the Start position You need to release it so it goes into the ON position. Leave the key in the ignition and keep an eye on the security light. After about ten minutes this light will shut off, once that happens You need to turn the key to the OFF position but do not remove the key from the ignition. Leave the key in for 10 seconds after You turn it off. From there You will need to repeat the above stepS3 times. After the third time You can remove the key and from there the security system is reset and the engine will start.

You must leave the key in the ignition in the "off" spot to reset the 2002 Chevy trailblazer protection device, and wait 10 minutes. Verify that the safety light is blinking. The security light will stop blinking after 10 minutes, and either turn off or remain continuously on.
I have a 2007 trailblazer that cranks by itself with no key and no one in car and also won’t shut down when key is turned off and removed from ignition. Have to remove fuel pump fuse to shut it off? Any help would be appreciate!! Never have I run into anything like this.
I have 2002 trailblazer ext lt I've changed all spark plugs two bad coil packs new crank sensor new variable timing sensor and new thermostat it was in accident back in January it killed a mopar a jeep but anyways it was almost 2 months after accident it over heated and stalled in my park barley made it home and had to tow it the rest of the way to my house but when I crank it over it acts like it wants to start I got spark but I'm thinking something with a sensor but Idk which one so I been changing them someone please lend me any ideas text my number518 527 77057my name is Jesse

On my 2002 Chevy trailblazer the key is stuck in the lock position and will not turn on or on at all and the security system was treated with things we need to know what the cost and how to fix it
