To reset the security system in the 2004 Honda Accord, turn the key in the ignition as if You're trying to start the engine. It won't start, so allow the key to end in the ON position. This will allow the dash lights and radio to work. Leave the key like this for 10 minutes. Don't open the doors. At the end of 10 minutes, the security light should be off. Turn the ignition off and then start the vehicle. If it starts, the system was reset. Otherwise, You need to start the process over again. If You have tripped the security system by hitting the panic button on the key fob, You can deactivate it by hitting the unlock button on the fob two times. You can also try resetting it by exiting the vehicle and making sure all doors and windows are closed. Lock the driver's door with the key and walk 10 feet away with the key fob in Your hand. Wait there for 15 minutes before trying to start the vehicle again.

To reset the security system in the 2004 honda accord, insert the vehicle's ignition key into the driver's side door lock. Turn to unlock. Turn to lock. Turn back to unlock one more time and the alarm will disable. Start the engine, and allow it to run 10 minutes to finish resetting.

I tried many times it doesn't work. Is it possible the problem come from weak battery?

Hey Benjamin. Im currently working on 04 accord coupe. Green key light flashes and this reset didn't work for me either. I had to remove the chip from ecu. Bad immobilizer and already changed ignition.
