To reset the ECU in a 2004 Nissan Titan start by inserting Your key into the ignition and rotate the key to the on position. Next depress the gas pedal all the way down rapidly five times In rapid succession. After the 5th time release the gas pedal and wait for about 10 seconds then press the pedal back down and hold it to the floor for up to 12 seconds until the service engine soon light starts to blink. When the light starts to blink take Your foot off the pedal and wait another 10 seconds. Now hold the pedal down again, the light will begin to blink faster, and after 10 more seconds, turn the ignition to off and wait a few minutes, while the truck reboots itself then start the engine.
